To draft a manifesto for 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, BJD (The Biju Janata Dal) has launched a people connect programme to seek their opinion on the upcoming polls.
‘Ghare Ghare Sankha: Matamata Diyanti Apana, Palana Karanti Naveen’ which means ‘Conch in every house: Opinion by you, Naveen executes’ is a programme launched by Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of 103rd birth anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik at Kantilo in the Jatni area of the Khordha district.
BJD wants to seek the opinion of the general public to prepare the manifesto, for which, it has decided to reach 86 lakh families to know their views. “The party will connect with the people and inform them about the welfare programmes being undertaken in the state,” stated Ashok Chandra Panda, Tourism Minister.
Arun Kumar Sahu, BJD general secretary said that “The BJD women wing members will visit these thousands and hand over printed forms to collect their views.”
