Congress MLA from Gill constituency of Ludhiana, Kuldeep Vaidya accused the former Akali-BJP government for farmers’ suicides.
During the debate on the budget in the Punjab assembly on Saturday, Vaidya said that many farmers in the state committed suicide in the greed of three lakh rupees.
Congress MLA Vaidya said that the Akali-BJP government had started giving Rs three lakh to the families of the farmers who committed suicide.
Meanwhile, Aman Arora, MLA from Aam Aadmi Party raised an objection on Vaidya’s statement.
After that Vaidya apologised for his statement.
