Lok Sabha polls 2019: Rahul Gandhi to kick-off UPA’s poll campaign in Tamil Nadu on Mar 13

AICC president Rahul Gandhi will kick-off UPA’s poll campaign in Tamil Nadu on 13th March, in which leaders of alliance partners, including the DMK, which is heading the opposition front, were expected to participate.

Talking to reporters after a meeting of party office-bearers, TNCC president KS Alagiri on Saturday said Rahul would commence his campaign in Tamil Nadu on March 13.

The venue of the election rally would be decided by tomorrow, though party sources hinted that it would in all probability be in the temple town of Madurai, the most sought after venue for major political parties.

This would be the first public meeting of Rahul Gandhi in Tamil Nadu after becoming the Congress President.

He said that the DMK and leaders of other alliance were likely to participate in the rally, which was expected to be a show of the strength of the Opposition Front.
