Remove all political posters as the election code comes into effect: Venugopal Reddy to election officials

The election officials have been ordered to remove hoardings, flexes, and posters belonging to political parties in the wake of the Election Code of Conduct coming into force in the backdrop of ensuing MLC election in Godavari districts graduates’ constituency.

In-charge District Collector M Venugopal Reddy on Tuesday. has directed the EROs, AEROs, RDOs, Tahsildars and other officials to remove hoardings, flexes etc and warned of stern action if they failed to remove the same with immediate effect to suit the election code of conduct.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that even after the Election Code came into effect two days ago, the campaign material of political parties was still visible in many places and that It was the responsibility of the officials to remove the hoardings and posters to avoid action.
