DMK president M K Stalin and Tamil superstar Rajinikanth on Friday met ailing DMDK chief Vijayakanth. Reportedly, the actor-turned-politician went to meet Vijayakanth at his residence in Saligramam and inquired about his health.
However, both Stalin and Rajinikanth clarified that their visits were not political.
It’s to be noted that Vijaykanth had recently returned from the US after medical treatment.
When Stalin was asked if he would welcome DMDK into his party alliance, he said, “I appreciate and thank you for your good intentions. I went to meet Vijayakanth not to discuss politics but to inquire about his health.
Rajinikanth who is expected to launch a political party, said there was absolute “nothing political” in his visit.
Earlier, BJP ‘s election in-charge of Tamil Nadu Piyush Goyal had also met Vijayakanth.
